Spastic Hypertonia otherwise known as muscle spasm or involuntary movement is a neurological condition that affects a wide range of people. Its symptoms can be distressing, sometimes painful and can cause serious injuries. Most of us will sleep for several hours a day and so it is no wonder that many of us will experience episodes of muscle spasm whilst in bed.

This could be a simple twitch through to a substantial jolt, the later of which can cause injuries. Needless to say sleep is disturbed and the process of natural healing replaced by strain and possible injury. In 2009, a small team of designers from Cornwall joined forces with Chris Mason, a design technician who just happened to have a paraplegic injury T7&8. Their task was to design a mattress that would aid wheelchair transfer whilst providing optimum pressure relief. The project was a success and eighteen months on both Chris and several others found that their muscle spasms whilst in bed have either diminished significantly or ceased all together.
It would be wrong to imply that the patented Squirrel Diamond will prevent or reduce muscle spasms in everyone, as we are all unique and so this is clearly not the case. However we do suggest that their is a strong chance of a significant improvement and so are normally able to provide a loan Squirrel Diamond to see if this is the case.
Here are some comments;
“The substantial difference between the patented Squirrel Diamond and all of the other mattresses (that I have tried) is that it has significantly reduced my muscle spasms. I guess that the special surface does something, as I have also noticed no neurological pain.”

“I no longer suffer stiffness after sleeping on the Squirrel Diamond, I have less spastic episodes in my arms and legs, which were previously quite violent and best of all, because my lower back is being kept in motion, I no longer get pain in this area.
