Assisted Turning Mattress – High – Very High Managed Risk
RRP £3495 + VAT | Save £1000 | Limited Offer £2495
The simple act of turning over in our beds is of incredible importance to us both clinically and socially. It enables us to achieve greater comfort and to offset capillary occlusion that leads to dangerous pressure ulcers.
Those of us that are unable to do so rely on a combination of assistance from carers and sometimes use special alternating air mattresses known as dynamics. Whilst airflows are generally an effective aid to assist in pressure ulcer prevention – they should be used in conjunction with a repositioning regime. This can cause problems for those that wish to live without clinical intervention and where the carer could suffer back strain.
The principle behind the Auto Turn is to use air to help turn the user between positions – left, back – right.
It consists of 17 sequentially inflating / deflating cells that gently alternate the surface interface pressures between the mattress and patient. These soft-form cells are sealed within an extremely comfortable but resilient waterproof cover.
Perfect for community and care home use, the Squirrel Auto turn has been designed for ease of use and maintenance; it plugs into the mains and features a simple comfort control.
The mattress comes with manual pressure adjustment, visual power-off alarm and CPR facility.
Squirrel upgraded its inner components, such as T Connectors in 2008 to ensure that it is now one of the most robust overlay systems on the market. Its ultra-quiet pump, coupled with its incredible price, makes it one of the UK’s most popular auto turning mattresses.
