Product Development
The current product portfolio is well developed however product refinement and improvement to improve performance and functionality is an ongoing feature of the company’s approach to equipment provision. Clinician feedback and customer enquiries along with the management teams’ insight into market opportunities prompt the investigation of potential therapeutic solutions to clinical issues. All potential new product ranges are researched for their technical, clinical and economic feasibility prior to development of prototypes by our own in-house team. Two current areas of investigation are the fields of bariatric care, and the provision of double-sized mattresses designed for use in patients’ homes where partners can continue their normal sleeping arrangements. Both of these areas appear to show good market potential and are currently being assessed for their clinical and technical suitability. Squirrel Medical retains intellectual property rights on all new designs.
Servicing
All Squirrel Medical products are designed to be robust and reliable. All components are of modular construction which makes repair and maintenance care-free. Product spares are easily available and the company offers a telephone-based servicing and repair support service. If requested, Squirrel Medical can offer on-going maintenance and servicing of our entire product range.
Payment options
Squirrel Medical has arrangements in place to offer customers an instalment payment plan if required. This is an attractive option and aids sales within cash-flow limited budgets.
